At Beacon Academy, we believe that every student should have access to nutritious meals, regardless of their financial circumstances. We are committed to supporting families and ensuring that students are ready to learn.
Eligibility and Application
From September 2026, free school meals in England have expanded so that all children from households receiving Universal Credit are entitled to a free school meal, regardless of household income.
Applications for free school meals can be made using this website https://apply.cloudforedu.org.uk/ofsm/sims. We understand that applying for free school meals can feel sensitive, and we assure you that all applications are handled with complete confidentiality and discretion.
Benefits for Students
Receiving free school meals not only ensures your child has a healthy meal during the school day, but it can also have a positive impact on their learning and well-being. Students who are well-nourished are more likely to concentrate in class and achieve their full potential.
How it Works
Eligible students will receive their meals in the same way as other students, ensuring there is no distinction made. We aim to create a positive and inclusive dining experience for everyone.
Further Support
If you are experiencing financial difficulties, we encourage you to contact the school. We can provide information on other support services available, and we are here to help in any way we can. We encourage all eligible families to apply for free school meals. It’s a simple process that can make a significant difference to your child’s education and well-being.
