TEACHER OF SCIENCE/PROGRESS LEADER FOR YEAR 7

The Governors of Beacon Academy are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and inspirational individual to teach science to the full age and ability range and to be the Progress Leader for Year 7s (see JD below). The position will ideally suit a teacher who has aspirations for career advancement, willing to undertake a whole school role.

We are seeking a consistently good classroom teacher who has the potential, determination and drive to become outstanding and who is committed to delivering outstanding results.

TEACHING ASSISTANT LEVEL 3 – As soon as possible

Due to Beacon’s expansion and the increased number of students being admitted to the academy in September 2022 with EHCP’s, the Governors of Beacon Academy are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and inspirational individual for the role of Level 3 Teaching Assistant.

In addition to the meeting the requirements in the Job Description, the successful person will be able to:

·         Deliver quality first teaching to small groups of students within the academy’s inclusion unit.

·         Quickly establish and maintain positive relationships with students that lead to good behaviour and progress.

·         Demonstrate resilience and tenacity in their approach to work.

RECEPTION SUPERVISOR – AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

Beacon Academy is an exciting, expanding, inclusive and dynamic secondary academy, which places the student at the heart of our provision. Our distinctive ethos of ‘Human Scale Education’ sets us apart from other schools. At Beacon Academy, children will be known as individuals, supported by an excellent team of people, providing them with opportunities to achieve academically and to develop as a young person.

As a result of the increase in pupil numbers, Beacon Academy are seeking to appoint a Reception Supervisor to join our team of support staff. These are exciting times for the academy and we are looking for people to join us on our journey.

The post holder will be responsible for running the reception with an efficient, professional approach and ability to set up processes and systems, you will keep the cogs of the school turning. Under the guidance of senior staff: be responsible for undertaking administrative processes within the school to provide an efficient support service.

Candidates will have good organisational and ICT competency skills, be able to work on their own initiative and have a keen interest in current educational practices.

Previous experience of working in a school would be an advantage, but not essential.
